  • What new features are coming soon?
  • It's crashing! or I'm having problems with the update!
  • Your listing for [name] is wrong!
  • Are you adding subcommittees?
  • I'd like a version for my state.
  • What about delegates?
  • Why isn't my email getting through?
  • Why don't maps show building names?
  • Where are the House polls?
  • That's an ugly picture of [name].

  • "What is going on with my update? The application is missing [New Member] or ... I tap on a member of Congress and now I get kicked out of the application!

Here is the workaround that fixes the problem every time:

    • Delete the application off of your iPhone/iPod Touch and in iTunes on your Mac or PC.
    • "Buy" the application again. Don't worry, you'll immediately get a message from iTunes that you will not be billed for the update because you already purchased it.
    • Download the update from the App Store on your device.
    • Purchase the 99-cent update. If you already did, Apple will not charge you again.

Why does the postal address pop up a map that has numbers instead of the name of the building?
At this point, the iPhone Maps program does not recognize the names of the buildings so as a workaround, we found the exact GPS locations and added them instead. Don't worry, if you enter directions from your home or office the iPhone Maps program will be able to get you there.

Your listing for [member] is wrong. How do I send you updated information?
Thank you for wanting to help. We appreciate it. Please click on the "Send Update" button on the top left side of the individual member's page in Congress In Your Pocket with the update.

The email I sent to [name] was kicked back to me. What happened?
There are two possibilities. First, the person may have left the position or got a job off the Hill and we do not have it updated. Please send us an update with the "Send Update" button on the top left side of the individual member's page in Congress in Your Pocket with the update, if you have it. Second, we might have it updated but you have a previous version of the database. Please update your database if you have Congress In Your Pocket Pro or consider purchasing it for frequent updates throughout the year.

Where is the polling for members of the House of Representatives?
Most congressional races do not have polling that is widely reported on a continuous (or semi-continuous) basis so we chose not to add them. Pollster.com did an excellent job for the 2008 Senate races and we provide links where there is coverage for them.

Why does my representative/senator look so attractive/ugly?
In almost all cases, the picture listed in Congress In Your Pocket is a scaled version of the official picture approved by the member's office. We don't play Photoshop with them. However, if you feel strongly about it, please email us a better official headshot and we'll make the update.

    What about subcommittee membership?
Our Plus and Pro users have asked for these and we agree it would improve the application. Over the winter recess, we added them to version 2.7 in the Senate and we will be adding them to the House in early 2009. Remember, the 99-cent version does not include committees or subcommittees.

    What about delegates, not members?
By popular demand, we added them in version 2.5.

What about state versions or other countries?
We are working with partners locally and overseas to add these versions in 2009.
