| DAVID SCHWEIKERT, a Representative from Arizona; born March 3, 1962; Arizona State University, B.A., 1987; M.B.A., 2005; Realtor, financial consultant; chairman, Arizona State Board of Equalization, 1995-2003; nominee for U.S. House, 2008; Maricopa County Treasurer, 2004-07; Arizona House, 1991-95; defeated incumbent Harry Mitchell 53% to 42% on November 2, 2010; defeated fellow Republican incumbent Ben Quayle in the primary; reelected to the redrawn Sixth Congressional District in 2012, and to each succeeding Congress; won re-election in the redrawn 1st Congressional District in 2022 and 2024. |
